If your event meets our criteria for a Salem County tourism event, it will automatically be published to the event calendar.
Information about what we list on our event calendar:
- Tourism events are typically significant special events that are likely to attract large numbers of guests from more than 50 miles away.
- Events should be fun and entertaining, and should be in line with the themes in the “Experiences” sections on this website.
- Community events like smaller parades and fairs, movie nights, workshops, etc. (which are intended for a local audience) typically will not be listed, but may be considered.
- Community events like health fairs, litter clean-ups, shredding events, donation drives, yard sales, picnics, potlucks, etc. will not be listed.
- Smaller recurring events such as live music, open mic nights, bingo, trivia, or other such entertainment typically will not be listed, but may be considered.
- Recurring events are more likely to be listed if they are reflective of Salem County’s identity and/or unique enough to appeal to an audience more than 50 miles away.
- Single instances of smaller recurring events may be listed as independent events in the event calendar if they feature more popular acts or have some other significance.
- Events must be open to the public.
