You may not know much about Salem County, New Jersey. It’s a pretty quiet place full of open spaces. If you’ve driven through you may have seen pastures of horses or cows and thought, “there doesn’t seem to be much to do here.” But Salem County is more than meets the eye. Our promise is that when you slow down and take a look around, you’ll find that peace and quiet lives happily alongside enjoyment and intrigue. That there are things to do, but also that doing nothing can be something here, too. We’re a good time, plain and simple. More than cows. No bull.

More About Salem County
Salem County, New Jersey derives its name from the Hebrew word shalom, which means “peace,” chosen by early Quaker settlers to mark the serenity of the area. Even today, we can't think of a better way to describe it here.
Located in the southwestern corner of the state Salem County is within driving distance of several major metropolitan areas, but you won't find the hustle and bustle here. With over 140,000 acres of preserved natural and farmland, Salem County is an escape that is genuinely, authentically – and
intentionally – much as it was many years ago. Places like this
are treasures, but they only survive if we treasure them.
We invite you to come unwind, reconnect, and enjoy Salem County as much as we do. Once you visit, we're sure you’ll want to join us in making sure our little moment in time lasts forever.
